Intellectual Product Manager
Question: Blackblot claims the skills required of a product manager are intelligence and a strong command of the English language. Should a product manager also be an intellectual?
An intellectual is a person whose end product is an idea.
Intellectuals are often engaged in extreme abstractions and deep thoughts.
In PMTK, the Product Manager is a highly strategic role responsible for managing the market problem that the product solves.
Accordingly, a product manager can display great intelligence, but their role does not require them to be intellectual.
