International Freelance Product Management Trainer/Consultant

Job Specification

Key Position Responsibilities

Training Delivery - Individually instructing the complete Blackblot Strategic Product Management™ training program via public and private training sessions to audiences in selected countries worldwide.
Consulting Delivery - Individually providing product management consulting services which are based on Blackblot Product Manager’s Toolkit® methodology to customers in selected countries worldwide.

Abstraction Skills - Able to comprehend and summarize conceptual ideas and notions that apply to the different stages of the product’s marketing lifecycle.
Business Skills - Able to comprehend the business context and market problem that drive the building of a product.
Language Skills - Able to communicate, in written and verbal form, with diverse audiences, internal and external to the company, in a clear and comprehendible manner.
Marketing Skills - Able to select and apply the right marketing tools to given market scenarios, and execute marketing techniques, processes, and tasks.
Process Skills - Able to implement and/or follow the product planning process component of the product delivery process.
Methodological Skills - Able to structure and craft market requirements using a formal and structured methodology.

Related Experience

At least ten year(s) experience in high-tech (software, hardware, internet, or telecom) related field of business.
At least seven year(s) experience in product management (product planning and product marketing) or related roles.

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or MBA a strong plus (may be substituted with relevant experience).
This position requires committed and continued disciplined self-study and familiarization with Blackblot content.

Work Requirements

International travel required.
Complete fluency in written and spoken English and strong command of at least one additional foreign language is required.
Work requires continuous lecturing to an audience for three-five full consecutive days.

Work Environment

Home office and worldwide locations.
Contractor must possess own working phone and phone line.
Contractor must possess own computer and an internet connection with the appropriate peripheral equipment.
A paid Skype account will be provided by Blackblot.
A fully monitored (inbound/outbound) Blackblot email account will be provided.

Compensation Types

Training Fee - Daily rate commensurable with qualifications.
Consulting Fee - Daily rate commensurable with qualifications.
Referral Fee - Ten percent (10%) of the gross profit per a training attendee, for each training attendee that is referred by the contractor (a.k.a. finder’s fee).
Seller/Organizer Fee - Twenty-five percent (25%) of the gross profit per training session, for each training session that is fully sold and organized by the contractor.

Expense Reimbursement

If relevant, monthly cellular phone use is reimbursed by Blackblot.
On training and consulting assignments, all food, lodging, airfare, general travel, public transportation, and taxi expenses are fully paid or reimbursed by Blackblot.

Payment Terms

Payment is remitted by Blackblot within the first five (5) business days of every calendar month.
Invoicing of Blackblot for compensation and expense reimbursement is required.

Nature of the Agreement

The type of the engagement between this position and Blackblot is that of a service providing, self-employed, independent contractor, not of a contract employment of any kind, neither part-time nor full-time employment. Explicitly, there is no partnership, agency or employer-employee relationship of any kind between the two parties.
The nature of the engagement between this position and Blackblot is that of an “at-will” engagement allowing either party to unilaterally terminate the engagement at any given moment, without recourse, compensation or demand, upon immediate written notice and for any reason or no reason, without incurring any liability.
