Blackblot Methodology Add-On for QPack

Once the training ends you may need automated tools to manage the product planning process.

To a large extent, most requirements management software applications focus on preparing product requirements.  In order to provide a solution to write market requirements, Blackblot has joined forces with Orcanos who built the “Blackblot Methodology Add-On for QPack” using the QPack™ product life cycle management software application.

The add-on is aimed at helping product planners create true and clear “Market Requirements Documents” (MRD) which are later used to generate product requirements and technical specifications; while providing easy ways to instill traceability between all these elements.  The add-on implements Blackblot’s product planning methodology (processes, templates, concepts), presented in the Procedural Requirements Management™ seminar, into the QPack application suite.

Developed by Orcanos, QPack provides an end-to-end solution for product lifecycle management.  QPack’s main modules manage market requirements, product requirements, design tasks and unit tests, test planning and test execution, defect tracking, version content management, project tracking and analysis, release management, change management and more.

Blackblot’s product planning methodology is based on the Blackblot Product Frames Model and the PMTK Procedural Requirements Management Model.
